I had a suspicion the Silver series may have been plywood? ![]() ![]() I was more worried this model may have been plywood although since have learnt these were the Korean ones, however I did see one guy post he had a Japan Squier with plywood body. I know everyone says the serial numbers from this time weren't accurate but most I have seen the first letter of serial indicative of year and usually confirmed by the date penciled on the end of the neck.506 is of course the color code for black. So probably initially a Fender Japan neck, and used on a Squier. The TL72 was the Fender version and I believe they were interchanging parts. Funny though looks like the neck was originally stamped TL72 and its crossed out and re stamped with CT元0. It is supposed to be a 70s style reissue. ![]() I know its definitely a CT元0 because the guy photographed the neck and neck pocket. Thanks for your reply but every Squier CT元0 I have seen, probably about 10 online auctions, pics etc are all top loaders.
